Bill McClure 9th Classic Golf Day 2007

The annual Bill McClure Classic Golf Day took place at Windermere Golf Club on Tuesday 11 th September with excellent weather and playing conditions contributing to yet another successful event. This year the event was sponsored by Mars with a Prize available to be won on each of the Par 3 holes for any golfer lucky enough to get a ‘hole-in-one'. Unfortunately nobody succeeded on the day although one golfer managed to hit the pin only for the ball to bounce away.

The winning team was the ‘Dobsons' sponsored team with a stableford score, with the best two scores counting on each hole. The winning team pictured on our front page was (from left to right): Martyn Birch, Clive Watson, Matthew McClure & Andrew Millray.
